How to Calculate a Future or Past Date

To find a date in the future or past, add or subtract years, months, weeks, and days from a starting date.

Years and months are applied first, then weeks and days.

• Example: January 1, 2024 + 1 year + 2 months + 10 days = March 11, 2025

Note: adding 1 month to January 31 gives March 3 (or March 2 in a leap year) because February has fewer days.
