About GigaTables

GigaTables is a free online calculator hub. Students, engineers, contractors, and anyone who needs a reliable conversion or formula can get an accurate result without signing in, watching an ad wall, or installing an app.

What we publish

The site is organized around practical tools: unit converters, chemistry calculators, grade calculators, time and date tools, and web color utilities. Each page pairs an interactive calculator with the formula, a worked example, and a reference table so you can check the result yourself.

We do not charge for these tools. Calculations run in your browser. We do not store the numbers you enter.

Who writes and reviews the tools

Hamsen holds a degree in Biology Engineering (class of 2013) and has spent over a decade at the crossroads of science, technology, and digital publishing. Based in Canada, he brings a rigorous scientific mindset to every calculator and tool on GigaTables — verifying formulas, sourcing references, and ensuring results are accurate for students, engineers, and professionals alike. His background in SEO and web development means every page is built to be technically correct and easy to find. He founded GigaTables with a simple goal: give anyone, anywhere, access to reliable calculation tools at no cost.

Editorial standards

Every calculator is checked against the SI brochure, NIST unit conversions, or the relevant textbook formula before it goes live. Conversion factors are stored as exact constants (for example 1 kg = 2.20462262185 lb) rather than rounded shortcuts. When a standard changes, the page is updated and the formula block is revised so the on-screen math still matches the code.

If you find an error, open an issue on GitHub. Reports are reviewed and the affected page is corrected.
